I don't think it's been confirmed anywhere that you need a 'full' hall to get anything out of gw2, a full hall would be near impossible because you'd need all the titles, all the mini's all the armor sets for your class ect.

As I understand it from reading the articles the HoM will let you hold a name and carry stuff over to gw2, seems like they ought to let you carry over some of the stuff like dragon gauntlets, mask of the mo zing, and the other 'prestige' common armors.

The HoM is designed not only to show off your accomplishments, but to give benefits for when GW2 comes out. That's the reason only elite SETS are used. They are evidence you went through enough of the game to earn a prestige item(yeah, I know. some got run to Marhan's Grotto/FoW.) It fits into the story line. Chaos gloves, a pirate's bandana, shades, and a ninja hood(looks like a t-shirt n1nj4) don't fit anywhere in that line.

I don't see how getting prestige armor fits into the story line. Not once did I see a cinematic that depicted these events. Never did I read about how the hero tirelessly gathered materials for any one armor set. They have as much to do with the story line as having someone run you to Droknar's Forge.

I don't have every elite set of armor, nor do I care to attain it. People arguing that this shouldn't be added to the HoM because they don't want to grind for these extra bits are silly. If you don't want them, don't get them. I'm all for having those extra displays for helms and gloves even though I won't be farming for a Mo Zing mask, 'cause, quite frankly, that is one of the ugliest head pieces I've seen in the game.
